Mini Turbo Timer:
A turbo timer is a timer that controls the engine’s idle time after the ignition is switched off. This idle time can be adjusted.
It is therefore an electronic switch that switches itself off after a preset time.

A turbo runs in an oil bath and gets quite hot. When a turbo is hot and the engine is switched off abruptly, the oil will drain from the turbo whilst it is still hot. The residual oil burns due to this heat, leaving harmful soot deposits on the bearings and other vital parts of the turbo. This significantly shortens the turbo’s lifespan. To prevent this, the turbo must ‘cool down’; this is best achieved at low revs (where the turbo does not build up pressure), i.e. at idle or whilst driving slowly. In short, prevent damage to your turbo by installing this timer.
